Why UNLINED?
There are moments when the art world feels like a wall. One you keep running into - over and over again. I’ve shipped paintings to Miami, exhibited in Berlin and shown work at the ArtExpo in New York. Wrapped canvases, dealt with customs forms and arranged transport across borders. And still, no breakthrough. Not because the art wasn’t strong. But because sometimes, no door opens - no matter how hard you knock.
The art world is crowded. And yet often closed. So many artists. So many voices. Being seen is a fight. And yet we keep creating - because we have to.
UNLINED is my response to that wall. It’s not a series in the traditional sense. Not a curated cycle. UNLINED is raw. Open. Unrestricted. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind original. Two covers per month - always released on the 6th and the 20th. No fixed plan. But full clarity. 40cm x 30cm on wood. Sometimes playful. Sometimes political. Sometimes bold. Sometimes quiet. Each work is signed, dated, and numbered on the back. And every one exists only once.
I’ve created dozens of paintings - many on a large scale, many with weeks of work, emotion, and mental energy behind them. And I’ve learned something: Art is often underestimated. Especially by those who don’t make it themselves. “It’s just a bit of painting,” some say. But art is never just “a bit.” It’s a concept. Doubt. Craft. Repeating. Failing. Starting over. It’s loneliness. It’s stubbornness. It’s much more than a nice object on the wall.
Unlined is my way of offering real art anyway. Not a print. Not a poster. But a true, original work of art. A piece of originality - within reach. Because I truly believe : everyone should have the chance to own an original. No matter the size of their wallet. No matter the size of their wall. One painting is enough - if it speaks to you.
And the price will always stay the same: 333€ per cover. Wether it’s Issue No. 1 or No. 200. Because art shouldn’t follow the market - it should follow the feeling.
UNLINED is an invitation. To anyone who longs to live with real art. To anyone who wants a painting that says something. Not loud, but honest.
Because real art doesn’t need a golden frame or a big gallery. Just someone it can reach.
Warum UNLINED?
Es gibt Momente, in denen sich der Kunstmarkt wie eine Wand anfühlt. Eine, gegen die man anrennt - wieder und wieder. Ich habe Bilder nach Miami geschickt, in Berlin ausgestellt und auf der ArteExpo in New York gezeigt. Leinwände verpackt, Versand organisiert und Zollformulare ausgefüllt. Trotzdem blieb der Verkauf aus. Nicht, weil die Kunst nicht gut war. Sondern weil sich Türen manchmal nicht öffnen - egal, wie laut man klopft.
Der Kunstmarkt ist voll. Und doch oft verschlossen. Es gibt so viele Künstler:innen. So viele Stimmen. So viele Werke. Sichtbar zu werden, ist ein Kraftakt. Und trotzdem macht man weiter. Weil man nicht anders kann.
UNLINED ist meine Antwort auf diese Wand. Es ist kein durchkonzipierter Zyklus, keine Serie im klassischen Sinn. UNLINED ist roh. Offen. Ungebunden. Jedes Werk ein Einzelstück. Zwei Cover pro Monat - immer am 6. und 20. Ohne Plan. Aber mit Klarheit. 40cm x 30cm auf Holz. Mal verspielt, mal politisch. Mal laut, mal leise. Jedes Werk ist auf der Rückseite signiert, nummeriert und datiert. Und es gibt sie nur ein einziges Mal.
Ich habe Dutzende großformatige Werke geschaffen - mit Wochen voller Arbeit, Farbe, Zweifel. Und ich habe gelernt: Kunst wird oft unterschätzt. Vor allem von denen, die sie selbst nicht machen. “Das bisschen Malen”, heißt es dann. Aber Kunst ist nie nur “ein bisschen.” Sie ist Konzeptarbeit. Selbstzweifel. Wiederholen. Verwerfen. Neu beginnen. Sie ist Einsamkeit. Und Durchhalten. Und sie ist viel mehr als ein schöner Gegenstand an einer Wand.
UNLINED ist mein Weg, Kunst trotzdem weiterzugeben. Nicht als Poster. Nicht als Print. Sondern als echtes, originales Werk. Ein Stück Originalität. Zum Greifen nah. Denn ich glaube: Jede:r sollte die Möglichkeit haben, ein Original zu besitzen. Unabhängig vom Kontostand. Unabhängig davon, wie viel Platz man an der Wand hat. Ein einziges Bild kann reichen - wenn es etwas in dir berührt.
Der Preis bleibt immer gleich: 333€ pro Cover. Ob es die erste Ausgabe ist oder die hundertste. Denn Kunst soll nicht dem Markt gehorchen - sondern dem Gefühl.
UNLINED ist meine Einladung. An alle, die mit echter Kunst leben wollen. An alle, die sich nach Bildern sehnen, die etwas sagen. Nicht laut. Aber ehrlich.
Denn wahre Kunst braucht keinen goldenen Rahmen oder eine riesige Galerie. Sondern nur einen Menschen, den sie erreicht.
